This ain't no duck hunt

I went to Lagoon on Friday and don't believe I have recovered yet. Of course I didn't do anything that would actually require recovery but my body and spirit seem to think differently.

Monday morning I woke up at 7:00 am (I usually leave for work about 7:05) and was able to get to work by 7:20. That was a record for me. Of course I never had the chance to actually wake up before I went into work but beggars can't be choosers--but that won't stop me from trying.
Just like I won't stop trying to understand the political spectrum (which makes me insane and delusional). I must offer a 'Thanks' to FOX News channel because without it I would not have as much ammo for my metaphorical AK-47 (Got that Big Brother? Not a real AK-47 but a metaphorical aka fake one). For those of you who are unaware, FOX News channel is where a bunch of characters come out and attempt to entertain people generally in the 18 & older arena. I always get a good kick out of it. Unfortunately I am not able to watch it very often due to my ugly temper and erractic emotions. This season is a particularly interesting as it has more characters than I've ever seen before. And, just to be fair, this is happening from every side. So pop some popcorn, get a brewskie (aka beer) and relax in your beenbag because it's time to hunt!

I'm going to stop here before I rant about our politicians but I'll leave you with just one question.
Below is a picture which is on a calender in my mother's office. The calendar has pictures submitted by schoolchildren on the topic of safety. This one is well done but it gets on my nerves everytime I look at it. What is wrong with this picture? I will give no hints but whoever guesses correctly will win $1000 (just as soon as I start making $80,000 a year).

Cheers!

All hail Papa Smurf

I've gotten increasingly worried by the AAA downgrade so I've been doing a lot of researching regarding how I can protect myself in these times of trouble. Naturally that led me to The Beatles "Let it be" so please take a moment to watch this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-gyGiggAOI&feature=related
Awesome, right? Anway, after about an hour of surfing through youtube video's I finally got back on track and found an article explaining what we need to do to protect ourselve's during this time of economic turmoil. If you own any stocks, bonds or shares you may be at risk. However, no more of a risk than you usually are in because of owning something that fluctuates so dramatically. If you have a mortgage the interest rate may rise. But the likelyhood that it raises to a rate that it wouldn't have without the downgrade? Priceless. I mean...Not likely. So the downgrade probably means...wait...what the hell does it mean??
After reading that article I realized I had gone a whole ten minutes without watching tv so I put some Conan on (he's hilarious, I don't care what you say). He was saying that China is angry and that maybe no one should tell them that we spent $76 million dollars to see 'The Smurf' movie last weekend. Well we can't even begin to pay back China until we pay due homage to Papa Smurf. So I think China can sit tight...they already own our butts anyway. That's right. That cushy thing you sit on, it belongs to China.

I don't know about all of you but I'm going to see "Smurf's" this weekend and then I'm going to watch some cartoons and look for 'wild wabbits'. Eh, so don't bug me til it's over, k doc?
That's all folks!

That 70's Something

I've been watching a lot of "That 70's Show" lately whilst (yep I said whilst) making an 80's cd mix furthering my claim that I was born in the wrong decade. I'm thinking I should have been born about 1965-perfect time to know some of the 60's, grow up in the 70's and spend my later teens and early twenties in the 80's. But, alas, I was not born in 1965 so the least I can do is pretend like I was. Of course that would make me 46 years old and my only dispute with that is-Am I still living with my parents when I'm 46? The answer? Yes.
Obviously my head is still in the wrong decade because I'm still making mix cd's. And, of course, using the word whilst.
